Greater Phoenix Leadership to Address Racial Inequity

Racial Equity Advancement Project created by CEOs


PHOENIX, AZ, September 23, 2020 – Greater Phoenix Leadership (GPL) announced today creation of a Racial Equity Advancement Project, with a full-time staff position dedicated to involving CEOs on these issues through education, direct engagement and advocacy.  In addition to leading this critically-important project, this staff member will interface with GPL’s Social Impact Committee which has identified CEO focus areas of affordable housing, homelessness, criminal justice, and Arizona Latino attainment.

“Systemic racial inequity is unacceptable, and we must work together to bring it to a prompt and permanent end,” said GPL Chair Michael Bidwill. “We believe that it is the responsibility of the region’s CEOs to actively and vocally lead on these issues, and we are committed to doing so.”
