October 3, 2019

Greater Phoenix Leadership (GPL) mourns the passing of Bill Bidwill, a tremendous community leader who significantly contributed to Arizona’s prosperity and progress.

Having brought the Cardinals franchise to the Valley in the early 1970s, Mr. Bidwill leaves a legacy of stewardship, dignity and grace.

“All of Greater Phoenix Leadership are saddened by the passing of Bill Bidwill, or Mr. B as I knew him since 1990 as a young Tempe City Councilmember and throughout my mayoral tenure,” said GPL President and CEO Neil Giuliano. “He was a kind and generous man with an engaging sense of humor. It was an honor and a pleasure to have him, his family and the Arizona Cardinals as part of our Tempe, and greater Phoenix, community. Our most sincere condolences are extended to immediate and extended family. We are thankful for having known him and are grateful for his many generous contributions to Arizona.”

Please join Greater Phoenix Leadership in wishing peace and comfort to the Bidwill family during this challenging time.
