Greater Phoenix Leadership (GPL) is pleased to congratulate Eileen Klein on being sworn in as Arizona Treasurer. Klein served as president of the Arizona Board of Regents since 2013 and was a GPL member during her tenure.
“Eileen brought a level of knowledge and service that was unparalleled,” said Neil Giuliano, president and CEO of GPL. “Her commitment to higher education and Arizona guided us through some challenging times and Eileen’s vision helped advance Achieve60AZ, an initiative to increase the number of Arizonan’s with a certificate or degree to 60 percent by 2030. Klein also worked with the Legislature to ensure that universities received $1 billion in research and development dollars to invest in much needed infrastructure and research.”
In her new role as Treasurer, Klein is responsible for managing Arizona’s $13.4 billion investment portfolio, protecting taxpayer money and directing the state’s banking services.
