Greater Phoenix Leadership Announces Election of New Officers & Board Members

Michael Bidwill, Arizona Cardinals, elected Chairman of the Board

Greater Phoenix Leadership (GPL) is pleased to announce the election of Michael Bidwill as Chair, John Wolfe as Vice-Chair, and Pam Kehaly as Treasurer to serve the Board of Directors. Mi-Ai Parrish was re-elected Secretary.   

“The new officers each provide a unique perspective to the board and we are grateful for their willingness to serve,” said Neil Giuliano, President and CEO. “They are outstanding leaders in their fields. We look forward to their thoughtful guidance and strategic vision as partners in strengthening GPL and our role in helping shape and improve the future of Arizona.”

Michael J. Bidwill has served as president of the Arizona Cardinals since 2007. In 2016, the National Football Foundation inducted him into the Football Hall of Fame. Bidwill was instrumental in the creation of State Farm Stadium, which opened in 2006. He has been a member of GPL since 2005 and previously served as Membership Chair and Vice-Chair of the board of directors.

John Wolfe has served on the Board of Directors of GPL and Cox Communications’ Southwest Region as Senior Vice President and Region Manager since 2014. He is a two-term past president of the Association of Cable Communicators, and was awarded that organization’s Public Affairs Achievement Award for government affairs. He previously served as Chair of the GPL External Relations Committee.

Pam Kehaly was named President & CEO of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona in 2017 serving 1.5 million enrollees. She began her career with Blue Cross Blue Shield of California in 1986. In 2018, she joined the GPL Board of Directors and was also recognized as one of the year’s Most Influential Women and Most Admired Leaders by AZ Business Magazine and the Phoenix Business Journal, respectively.

Mi-Ai Parrish is former president and publisher of the Arizona Republic and in 2017 was named by the Businesswoman of the Year by the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce. Parrish served as deputy managing editor in the Arizona Republic newsroom from 1999-2001. Prior, Parrish was president and publisher of the Kansas City Star Media Co. She is currently ASU Faculty member in the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication and is founder of MAP Strategies.

In addition, Lisa Urias of CoNecs North America was re-elected to a second three-year term on the Board of Directors. Peter Fine of Banner Health, Adam Goodman of Goodman’s Interior Structures, Mike Hoover of Sundt Construction and Simer Mayo of Valor Global were elected to their first term.
