Our Mission

GPL will be the lead organization whose purpose is to improve the economic vitality and quality of life in the greater Phoenix region and the State of Arizona by bringing together talent, resources and leadership to create results on priority issues.

GPL, working through its committees, taskforces and their respective members, interacts with community organizations interested in the three or four primary objectives identified annually by GPL.

Major issues must contain the following criteria:

• Issues not getting proper attention that affect Maricopa County and the State of Arizona. Problems and opportunities of major proportions.
• Issues in which tangible results can be affected.
• Issues in which GPL is the best organization to take the lead.
• Issues which are non-partisan in nature.
• Issues that affect the business community, but that do not primarily serve the self-interest of any specific business group.
• Issues with potential for improving the quality of life in the State of Arizona.
• Issues in which GPL has a capacity to develop the necessary resources to produce tangible results.
